HOT-SPOT Long Distance Connections

DMR fascinated me immediately !!! Long distance connections without using huge antennas and with a good audio quality still gives me great satisfaction.

Like many OM, I started with a very cheap portable radio (a GD-77)  and then switched to more expensive and performing devices.

After trying the various connections on the radio links in my area I discovered the HOT SPOT: an object that immediately solved all the problems of access to the system,  bad reception, etc.

My choice fell on MMDVM hotspots with RASPBERRY Pi zero W cpu and PISTAR system. I don’t want to go into the details of how to build or program the Raspberry to have a working HOT SPOT

AS ALWAYS ON MY WEBSITE, THE MAXIMUM AVAILABILITY TOWARDS THOSE WHO WANT TO HAVE A FINISHED PRODUCT OR AID.

But I focus on the aesthetics of this object that since it must always be with us if we want to operate the RTX DMR it must also have a pleasant appearance and must be protected from possible shocks or short circuits.

HERE IT IS:

With the help of my 3D printer and a little imagination I have created these cabinets that perfectly dress the hardware and make your hot spot more attractive and personalized. Obviously the resin used is single-colored and therefore must be painted in order to make the objects stand out better. This is the first, with an unusual and Steampunk-inspired shape, being of semi-transparent resin I left some unpainted parts near the status LEDs to have a movement effect during normal use.

This is another model, much more “serious” but essential in its forms, even here it is possible to paint it in different colors according to taste.

Obviously they are not for sale in stores or online since they are my own invention, but if someone is interested in having one (colored or not) contact me.

It would be nice to get more ideas and then post and share them with everyone.
